MSA Awards, Grants & Recognitions
June 1 is the deadline for nominations for 2021 MSA awards and honors. Links to descriptions and how to make a nomination:

Distinguished Public Service Medal ⬩ Fellowship
Deadlines for submitting research grant proposals have been moved up into the year in which the award will be made. March 1, 2020 is the deadline for 2020 grants. Awards will be decided and made by May 1. Links to descriptions and how to submit a proposal:
Kraus Grant (Crystallography) ⬩ Mineralogy and Petrology
The age restriction on applicants for the Kraus Grant has been removed, opening it up to beginning graduate students. MSA membership is now required of applicants for both grants.

You can renew online at www.minsocam.org and purchase publications, donate, and subscribe to a variety of journals at the same time. Geoscience Community Journal
|
|
MSA is one of the participating partners in the new, fully open access, geoscience community journal Lithosphere. Lithosphere, a former Geological Society of America (GSA) open access journal, is now being published by GeoScienceWorld with a wider scope. The journal’s articles will include research in the Earth sciences, planetary, and environmental sciences.
